Club results from weekend of 26-27 September.   01/10/2015

The Junior Men’s team defeated Kinvara United B 2-0 last Saturday afternoon with goals from the Gallagher brothers Shaun and Benny, making it three successive Division 4 league wins.

The U15 boys drew 3-3 away to Colga in an entertaining match in Clarenbridge. Craughwell took an early lead when Joe Jackson (pictured) converted a penalty after being fouled himself. Colga hit back with a penalty of their own before Ian McGlynn set up Vince Boyle to make it 2-1 to Craughwell at half time. After the restart, Colga were awarded a second penalty but United keeper Michael Joyce made a fantastic save to keep the away side in front. The home side continued to apply the pressure and scored twice to take a 3-2 lead. However, Darragh O Connor swung in a dangerous corner ball late on which ping-ponged around the box and eventually resulted in an "own goal" to leave the final score at 3-3.

On Sunday, the U18 boys lost their Premier League opener 6-0 away to Galway Hibs while the U18 girls went down by the same scoreline to a strong Cregmore/Claregalway FC side. The U14 girls had no luck either in an 8-2 defeat away to Mervue United.
