Club results from weekend of 11-13 September.   14/09/2015

The season really clicked into gear last weekend with plenty of club teams in action. The Junior Mens team bowed out of the FAI Junior Cup after a spirited 2-0 defeat against St Patricks in Caherlistrane on Sunday morning. The U17 boys are making the early Premier League running after a thrilling 4-3 win over Maree/Oranmore in Coleman Park. Jonathan Boland (pictured) was the star man in the first half, setting up goals for both Cillian Dolan and Oisin Woodlock after some fine work on the left wing. The away side showed their mettle in the second half to edge into a 3-2 lead. However, Dolan was always more than a handful upfront and his powerful running set up Oisin O Brien for the equaliser before netting the winner himself to cap off a great team effort.

On Saturday, there were two Connacht Cup first round ties played which yielded impressive club wins. The U12 boys were too strong for Kinvara United winning 5-1 in Coleman Park while goals from Sean Connaughton (3), Ciaran Connaughton (2) and Ryan Gallagher (2) helped the U14 boys to a 7-3 win away to Maree/Oranmore.

On Friday evening, the U15 boys started their Championship League programme with an unlucky 3-2 home defeat to Galway Hibs; Vincent Boyle scoring both the United goals.
