Club results (boys) from weekend of 7-8 February   11/02/2015

Both the U12 and U18A boys advanced to Connacht Shield semi-finals with wins over Ballinasloe and Colemanstown respectively last Sunday. In Ballinasloe, Tomas Barlow put United ahead with a wonder goal before the home side fought back and equalised near half time. Craughwell grew in confidence in the second half with Liam Mulveen, Ross Whelton and Sean Joyce all going close before Craughwell deservedly went ahead with Conor Rooney making it 2-1 with fifteen minutes to go.  In the final minutes, Lewis Ryan netted Craughwell's third to seal the win. The U18A boys booked their semi-final place, running out 5-2 winners over Colemanstown highlighted by a Josh MacFarlane (pictured) hatrick.

In a tough and physical game played in cold, foggy conditions, the U18B boys continued their good league form with a 2-0 away win over Athenry B. United went in front after five minutes with a goal from Niall Beirne followed up by Malachai MacCormaic to seal the game for Craughwell. Conor Sheehan was outstanding between the posts to keep a clean sheet for United.

The U13 boys lost 3-0 at home to Mervue United in their Premier League match on Saturday morning.
