Club results from weekend of 25-26 October   27/10/2014

Craughwell United teams had a mixed bag of Cup results over the Bank Holiday weekend. The U18A boys were 3-0 winners away to Corrib Rangers in the first round of the FAI Umbro Youth Cup. 
The U16 boys had a very entertaining 4-3 home win over Real Tubber of Sligo in the Connacht Shield first round. Both sides were evenly matched throughout with goals in each half by Ronan Nevin leaving the the ninety minutes score at 2-2. Mark Cunningham and Alan Callanan twice hit the crossbar in the second half while at the other end Ben Creaven made a fantastic goal line clearance to send the match into extra time. United regrouped well and two excellent goals from Adam Lawlor-Smalle and Jack Lally put the home side in control. Real Tubber never gave up and scored late on to leave Craughwell holding on at the final whistle.
The U14 boys were no match for Melview FC, losing 8-0 away to the Longford side in the Connacht Shield.
The U12 boys went through to the next round of the Connacht Shield when Arrow Harps from Sligo were unable to travel and conceded the tie as a result.

In league action, the U13 boys drew 1-1 at home to Knocknacarra on Saturday morning. Ciaran Connaughton scored Craughwell's goal early in the second half but Knocknacarra equalising five minutes into added time which was very had on United as they deserved the three points.

The U15 boys were 5-1 winners away to St Bernards in Abbeyknockmoy. Alan Callanan and Cian Waters put Craughwell 2-0 up at the break. Dylan Shaughnessy grabbed a brace in the second half with Michael Connaughton scoring United's fifth.

In the U10 Wolves mini-league, Craughwell drew both games 1-1 against Kinvara and Maree/Oranmore respectively while in the U9 Falcon's league, Craughwell (pictured here) were 3-2 winners over Cregmore/Claregalway in Cregmore.
