Also on Saturday Craughwell United Juniors travelled to Colmanstown in the Western Hygiene Supplies Championship. A lacklustre first half saw Colemanstown bag two goals. United regrouped and dominated the second period Ross Whelton putting in a magnificent cross for Darragh Connor to score a diving header on 60 minutes. The Craughwell men pressed hard for an equalizer and were unlucky when Joe Jackson forced a fantastic save from the Colmanstown 'keeper.

East United hosted Craughwell United U18 Boys on Sunday afternoon. In a bruising encounter United had a couple of half chances and denied East twice leaving it scoreless at the break. The introduction of Ian Ward and Daniel Galvin saw United take the upper hand. Daniel Galvin won a free kick which was scored by Alex Duggan. Ian Ward could have been awarded a penalty as Craughwell continued to apply pressure. East scored against the run of play and despite a good performance, particularly from the back 4 - it was honours even at the end - 1-1.

The U14 Boys travelled to Corofin on Saturday. United started well - Tom Malone opened the scoring following a flowing move. The home team upped the tempo and scored a number of goals following quick breaks forward. Craughwell found themselves 3-1 down at half-time but regrouped and competed well in the second half. They were unlucky not to score despite coming close several times, including hitting the crossbar. There were many good displays from Craughwell - Shane Cahill was solid in goals and Callum Payne and Darragh O’Hea put in strong defensive displays. Final score 1-3.

Craughwell United U12 Maroon Boys dominated proceedings away to Corrib Rangers on Saturday - their sixth league win from six. Ciaran Moran and Brian O’Gara scored their first league goals this season.
