Club results from weekend of 1-2 November   03/11/2014

The U16 boys moved to the top of the Championship league table with a hard fought 2-0 away win over fellow pace-setters Knocknacarra last Sunday afternoon. Prolific striker Ronan Nevin put United in front early on and then added his second after the break to seal the important win. Best for United were Danny Pearce, Jack Lally, Oisin O Brien and Mark Cunningham while keeper Kyle Heverin made several top class saves to keep his clean sheet.

The U16 girl’s started their season with an unlucky 1-0 defeat away to Corrib Rangers. Craughwell had plenty of possession but just lacked the finishing touch to get something from the game.

The U14 boys were impressive 5-2 winners at home to Salthill Devon B to maintain their second place position in the Championship table. The United scorers were Vincent Boyle, Darren Lyons, Darragh O Connor and a couple from Adam Cunney (pictured).

The U12B boys were also 5-2 winners, overcoming Tuam Celtic B to keep them in second place in the Division Three table. Man of the match Tomas Barlow scored two goals while Alex Craven also got two. Keeper Alan Higgins played outfield for the final ten minutes and sealed the win with a cheeky backheel.
