Club results from weekend of 11-12 October   13/10/2014

The U18A boys suffered their first defeat this season when they lost on penalties to Maree/Oranmore in Round 1 of the Connacht Cup at ColemanPark. The away side started much the better and took a two goal lead before United found any rhythm to their play. Eventually a penalty from Gavin O Toole and an equaliser from Cillian McDaid gave the home side a lift but the game finished 2-2 after extra time. Maree/Oranmore were more confident with their spot kicks and scored four to United’s one to book their place in the next round.

The U14 boys continued their winning ways when they overcame TempleVilla of Westmeath 4-3 in their SFAI Irish Cup match at ColemanPark. Goals from Joseph Jackson, Darragh O Connor and two from Vincent Boyle sealed United’s place in the next round.

The U13 boys lost out 3-1 away to Colga last Saturday morning with Kevin Molloy netting the United goal while the U12B team suffered their first defeat this season, losing 4-2 at home to a strong Corrib Celtic B side. Tomas Barlow (pictured) scored both goals for Craughwell.
