Craughwell United Notes 5-6 November   07/11/2022

Craughwell United U17 girls lost 3-2 away to Oughterard on Sunday afternoon. United equalised in the first half when Adara Salvo hit the post after a great run and Eabha Neary tapped in the rebound. United had to respond after going behind again in the second half and did so when Sara Craven finished off a lovely through ball from Salvo. However, Oughterard scored from a direct free with the last attack of the game to steal the three points. Very unlucky for Craughwell after a great effort all throughout the game.

The U13 Boys first team were up against strong opposition in Loughrea at home on Saturday morning. Despite making a slow start and creating a few chances and hitting the crossbar United found themselves a goal down at the break. Despite not starting the second half well, conceding a second goal Charlie Nugent netted to keep the tie alive. Several efforts on goal failed to produce an equaliser and the game finished 2-1.

On Sunday morning Craughwell's U13 Girls travelled to Colemanstown. The first half was closely fought and United came close on a number of occasions. They trailed 1-0 at half time but Colemanstown pulled away in the second half netting three more times.
