The U11 girls (pictured) had a good 3-1 aggregate league win away to Colemanstown last Sunday morning. Two goals by Isabelle Behan and an own goal along with fine performances by all the girls secured the win.

The U13 boys also won 3-1 away to Knocknacarra on Saturday afternoon with a solid squad performance. Craughwell scored three excellent team goals, two from Cillian Doyle and one from Ryan Faherty to prevail in a keenly contested fixture.

The U15 girls lost 5-1 away to Athenry with Chloe Keane on the scoresheet while the junior men's side lost 5-0 away to Mervue United in the Michael Byrne Cup second round. With the squad depleted through recent injuries, well done to U18 players Eoin Nugent in goals and Dara Collins in midfield who made their junior debuts for Craughwell.

The U17 boys continued their fine run of form with an excellent 5-1 win away to St Bernards in Abbeyknockmoy with Alex Duggan, Adam Jordan, Sean Mulry, Fiachra Bond and Eoin Hynes all on the scoresheet.


The Galway United Academy Easter Coaching Clinic takes place on Monday 18, Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 April from 9.30am to 12.30pm at Coleman Park, Craughwell.

Cost is €45 per player and is open to Craughwell United players only. Boys and girls born 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Galway United Academy coaches will take all the sessions. Players must bring their own drink bottles and dress appropriately for the weather.
