Latest club news up to Sunday 20 March.   21/03/2022

Our junior men's side had a fine 1-0 home win over Renmore last Sunday morning at Coleman Park. Captain Daniel Grealish was taken down inside the box on the half hour mark and leading scorer Kevin Molloy (pictured) converted the penalty kick. Renmore pressed for an equaliser as the game wore on but some solid defending and a fantastic late double save from keeper Kyle Heverin ensured the vital three points for Craughwell. The U17 boys may not have been at their best when twice falling two goals behind to Cregmore/Claregalway B at Coleman Park but a late rally with goals from Daniel Galvin, Fiachra Bond and Adam Jordan snatched a 3-3 draw to keep United in the Division One top spot. The U13 girls lost narrowly 3-2 at home to Loughrea with Emily Rabbitte and Ava Doyle on target for Craughwell. Meanwhile our U21 men's side lost 3-2 to Knocknacarra in an entertaining match at Kiltullagh Astro last Wednesday evening. Knocknacarra held the lead from mid way through the first half even though goals from Finbarr McFadden and Joe Jackson kept the contest in the balance until the final whistle.
