Craughwell United fielded their first ever U21 team and came away with an entertaining 4-1 away win over Tuam Celtic on Wednesday evening. Matthew Faherty and Cian Garman put United two up at the break before Tuam scored early in the second half to reduce the deficit. Kevin Molloy added two goals to complete the memorable win for Craughwell.

Meanwhile in last weekend's action, our men's side lost 2-1 away to Renmore in Division 1. Striker Alan Callanan had given Craughwell a deserved first half lead, but the city side scored two late goals to snatch an unlikely win.

Liam Mulveen and Ciagan Davoren scored two each in the U18 boys Connach Shield 4-3 away win over Moyne Villa in Headford. The U17 girls had a fine 2-1 home win over Sligo side Yeats United in the Connacht Cup first round. Sara Craven and Allison Morrisey put United two ahead and while Yeats scored and put on plenty of pressure, Craughwell keeper Claire Coolahan made some important saves to secure the narrow win.

Fiachra Bond scored the all important goal for the U17 boys in their hard fought 1-0 home win over local league rivals Loughrea while Isabel Behan scored a hatrick for the U12B girls in their 3-1 extra time Division 3 Cup win away to Loughrea.

The U13 Boys had a good 4-2 win over Mervue B on Saturday, with goals from Paul Keaveney, Ryan Faherty (2) and David Flynn. It was a great team performance by all the squad in difficult conditions on a wet Saturday afternoon.
