The Craughwell United junior men’s side enjoyed a fine 4-1 league win over a previously unbeaten NUIG side last Sunday morning in Dangan. United took the first half lead when Chris Phillips volleyed home from his brother Patrick’s pinpoint cross. A three goal burst shortly after half time then put Craughwell in a commanding position. Striker Eoin Fahy ran on to a sublime back heel from Jack Lally to score into the bottom left corner and just two minutes later, Fahy added his second from a direct free kick. Diarmuid McCartin then scored from outside the box to cap a fine display by the two Craughwell front men. NUIG scored a consolation goal with the final kick of the game. The U15 boys lost 8-3 at home to Ramblers with Christian Dunham, Shane Tuohy and Daire Crowe all scoring for United.

The U12B girls were 4-1 winners away to Colga B with twins Katelyn and Lily Walsh scoring two each. Featuring well on the day were keeper Rebecca Walsh, defender Chloe Keane, midfielder Katie Murray, striker Jessica McGlynn while Eabha Molloy had a fine shot saved on the line. The U12A girls lost 5-3 in their table top clash with Corrib Rangers. The U14 girls were also out of luck losing 5-0 at home to a strong Knocknacarra side.
