Club results from weekend of 14/15 October   17/10/2017

The junior men’s side recorded their third successive league win with a 4-3 defeat of Cregmore/Claregalway FC at Coleman Park. United striker Ari DeSouza Neves scored in the first few minutes from a direct free kick but the away side capitilised on some hesitant defending to take a 2-1 lead after only fifteen minutes. DeSouza Neves replied quickly with a crisp strike from outside the box before Jack Lally steered home a fine header from an Eoin Fahy cross on the stroke of half time to give Craughwell the lead. De Souza Neves went on to complete his hatrick on the hour mark, scoring directly from a corner kick but even though the away side replied with their third goal, United held on for a deserved win.

Also on Sunday morning, the U12A girls had a 4-0 home win over Moyne Villa B. A Tara Morgan strike gave Craughwell the ideal start before Ashling Whyte was on hand to score Craughwell's second soon after. Whyte then assisted for a well taken Sole Lopez goal to make it 3-0 by half time. Playing against a second half breeze, Craughwell had to defend deep, but good performances from midfielder Abaigh Molloy, full backs Niamh Kelly and Fiona Waters and the reliable Ellie Brennan in goals ensured a clean sheet. Sole Lopez added her second goal with a neat finish from an acute angle to seal the win for Craughwell.

Elsewhere, the U14B boys were 3-2 winners over Knocknacarra B with Shane Tuohy twice and Jamie Lyons on the scoresheet. The U13A boys drew 2-2 with Knocknacarra B with Jamie Lyons and man of the match Conor Gilligan both on target for United. The U12B boys were 3-0 winners over Tuam Celtic B while the U12C boys lost by the same margin to Tuam Celtic C.
