Club results from weekend of 7/8 October   09/10/2017

In club matches, the junior men’s side recorded their second away victory in recent weeks with a 2-1 defeat of Bearna Na Forbacha. Eoin Fahy scored a fine long range strike to give Craughwell an early lead but the home side levelled before the break. Substitute Jack Lally then provided the match winner late in the game after striker Ari DeSouza Neves had pressurised the home defence into a costly mistake. Conor Lally and  Mark Cunningham put in solid performances for United on the day.

At Coleman Park, the U13B boys were unlucky to lose 3-2 to Corofin United B. Jack Barrett and Padraig Finnegan were on the scoresheet for United.

The U14 girls got their league campaign off to a steady start with a hard fought 1-1 draw against Corrib Rangers in Westside.  Lucy Duggan gave Craughwell an early lead but when Rangers equalised, both sides missed chances the take the points in an entertaining battle. Also on Sunday afternoon, the U18 girls travelled west to Oughterard and defeated a weakened home team 7-0. Laura Cunningham scored six with Tara Farrell also on target for United.
