Club results from weekend of 22-23 October   26/10/2016

The Junior men’s side (pictured) got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win away over Loughrea B on Saturday afternoon. The match was evenly balanced until Benny Gallagher set up Ruairi McArdle on thirty nine minutes to give Craughwell a slender half time lead. The home side were always in the game until striker Shaun Gallagher set up his brother Benny to double the lead with five minutes remaining. Shaun then missed a spot kick in the dying minutes much to the despair of his father Mickey playing behind him in midfield.

Also on Saturday, the U13B boys lost 8-2 at home to a strong Corrib Rangers side with Cian Irwin scoring both United goals.

On Sunday, the U18 boys registered their first league win in three games with a 4-2 win over Loughrea at Coleman Park. Craughwell missed several first half chances and found themselves 2-0 down at the break from two well taken Loughrea goals. However, the home side continued to pressurise the visitors and were back level on the hour mark with two quick goals from Eoin Fahy and Adam Lawlor-Smalle. Ten minutes later, Oisin Woodlock broke from well inside his own half before crossing to Alan Callanan who right footed expertly to give United the lead. Craughwell completed the comeback in the final minutes when Jack Lally, with his second assist, set up Jonathan Boland to score. Best for Craughwell on the day were full backs Adam Lawlor-Smalle and Conor Roche while winger Jonathan Boland caused the Loughrea defence problems all afternoon.
