The Junior men’s side signed off their league campaign with a 6-0 win over Kilshanvey United  last Saturday at Coleman Park. The match was nip and tuck for the first half hour before Shaun Gallagher opening the scoring to give Craughwell a single goal half time lead. The home side clicked into gear in the second half with three more goals from Shaun Gallagher and one each from Benny Gallagher and Chris Phillips. Craughwell’s home form was exemplary with eight wins and a draw from nine matches and only for dropping too many points away from home that cost them promotion this season.

On Sunday, Craughwell players Liam Mulveen and Kieran O Connor (pictured) were part of the Galway U12 squad that defeated Limerick 3-0 in the SFAI U12 Cup semi final in Mervue. Galway will now play the winners of the DDSL v Sligo/Leitrim match in the final later this month.

Well done to Mickey Gallagher who won last weekend’s 50-50 Draw in Cheevers. Next draw in Rafterys this Saturday night with envelopes on sale in all the usual outlets.
