Club results from weekend of 12-13 March   14/03/2016

Last Saturday, the U13 boys were 3-1 winners over Tuam Celtic in their Premier League encounter. Man of the match Tomas Barlow opened the scoring for United followed by further goals from Ross Whelton and Gavin Kelly. Tuam replied with a second half penalty but a strong team performance in a physical battle was enough for United on the day. Also on Saturday, the U15 boys lost 4-1 away to Knocknacarra.

On Sunday, the U14 girls were 2-0 winners over Maree/Oranmore FC with goals from Sarah McCartin and Emily Miskella. Craughwell were on top in first half with Laoise Bond and Veronica Creaven also coming close to scoring. United put together some great passing moves and tackled for every ball while Ruth Tansey, just back from injury, had great game.

The U17 boys lost 3-1 away to Salthill Devon in the Premier League. Salthill went ahead midway through the first half but Craughwell deservedly leveled before half time when the excellent Jack Lally played Diarmaid McCartin through and the striker finished well into the left corner. United continued to take the game to their seaside hosts but went behind to a well taken strike from outside the box and later conceded another when chasing the game for an equalizer. The Craughwell team performance, epitomised by the workrate of Jack Doran (pictured), deserved more reward from the game but Salthill just took their chances more clinically on the day.
