Club results from weekend of 5-6 March

Last Saturday, the U12A boys went to the top of the Championship table with an excellent 2-1 away win over Renmore. The home side were playing good football and took a 1-0 lead by half time. Craughwell stuck at it in the second half and when Nigel Kelly controlled a long ball from keeper Eoin Byrne, he played a lovely through ball to Kieran O Connor (pictured) who finished first time to the top corner. United then went in front five minutes from time when Adam Stewart sent a dangerous ball into the box only for a Renmore player to divert into his own net. A great all round team display from the Craughwell boys to take all three points. Also on Saturday, the U12B boys were defeated 4-0 at home to Knocknacarra B in a closer game than the scoreline suggests.
On Sunday, the U12 girls lost 1-0 away to Corrib Celtic while the U18 boy and U16 girls both suffered match postponements because of waterlogged pitches in Knocknacarra and Coleman Park respectively.
